Real Life

I'm with the in-laws tucked among the hedgerows of rural England. It's not been as relaxing as usual, perhaps due to relentless extended family health issues, but it's still very nice to be here. It's beautiful and the weather is far milder than home. I like ruined castles and Roman towns, and I love farm animals, so I'm easy to please.

Wish the neighbor would give up a cockerel or two, though. One is definitely the right number of cockerels for a farm. But as someone with too many cats, perhaps I shouldn't talk.

My muse has been rubbish this year, but I signed up for LDWS anyway because I'm masochistic.

Ha ha ha. I wouldn't mind if you did vote against me. I did sign up for this knowing it would happen. But I'm so glad it's all anonymous (at least during voting). I hate knowing that I am flagging someone else's hard work as my least favorite, but at least this way I don't feel like I am voting against a person.
