Harry was happily tipsy by the time he was finishing off his chocolate cake. He couldn't eat the way he had as a scrappy boy at Hogwarts, but he wasn't leaving without pudding. Not when that pudding had a melty centre of chocolate goo. How Muggles did that without magic was beyond Harry. Best not to think too hard about it.
“Harry?”
Harry blinked up at Draco.
“You all right? You are staring at that cake like a centaur looks at the sky.”
Harry smiled, as much at himself as at Draco's wit. “What, did you miss the Divination class on cake-reading?”
Draco gestured to the waiter and then turned a twisted lip on Harry. “As if I would waste my time on that subject. I took Arithmancy.”
Harry had never fully understood what Arithmancy was about. It was something complicated for clever, bookish people like Hermione, but beyond that Harry had no idea. A good topic to abandon. What should he say as a distraction?
“Want to come back to mine?” He spoke just as the server set the billfold in front of Draco, and Harry didn't miss the twitch of the man's lip. Luckily the server walked away so Harry wouldn't have a witness if he were rejected.
Draco's face was impossible to read as he pulled out a Gringott's Visa card and slipped it into the billfold. “You don't have to put out just because I'm paying. You can always get the next one.” Harry was horrified that Draco thought he was paying for his meal with sex, for about two seconds before Draco's face cracked into laughter. “Oh, your face!” Harry might have been angry if the rich laughter hadn't filled his chest with a warm, tight feeling. The server returned to run Draco's card, and Harry stared at the table so he wouldn't see his face. Nothing like an audience for being laughed at.
When they were alone once more, a strong hand settled over his own. “I'm joking around, Harry, but yes, I'd like to go back to yours.”
Harry beamed up at him. “Really? That's great.” He blinked as he tried to process it all. He wasn't the best at navigating this part of personal relationships in general, and the wine wasn't making it easier. Nor was Draco, with his mixed messages and his shiny hair. “You mean for sex, right?” He felt his cheeks flush. “I mean, not sex necessarily, but like, physical stuff.” He buried his face in his hands as he pondered giving up speaking for the rest of his life. It might be for the best.
A low chuckled washed over him. “I should never have expected tact from you, Harry. But to be clear, yes, for physical stuff. Although I will happily accept a cup of tea or a glass of port as well.”
Harry peeked between his fingers to see Draco's fond expression. Amazingly, he seemed to find Harry's blundering endearing. “How do you look so pleased if you aren't mocking me for being an idiot?”
Draco's eyes shone brightly, and Harry didn't think it was only the reflection from the firelight. “For the same reason I love Bertie's Every Flavour Beans: you never fail to surprise me.”

Naughty Draco for teasing Harry, but it's so entertaining! I really love how Harry contracts foot-and-mouth and just keeps getting worse! I mean, not sex necessarily, but like, physical stuff. Lololol! This was the very best, although I loved the whole thing.
